Last Sunday at Wrestle Mania 30 I saw the Ultimate Warrior return to the WWE for the first time in 18 years. One of my greatest childhood heroes was entered into the WWE Hall of Fame to recognise his importance and to insure his legacy is immortalised forever.

The very next day on Raw the Ultimate Warrior made his way to the ring to speak to the fans. As the words left his mouth I couldn’t help but think this sounds like a man who isn’t planning on doing many appearances for the WWE. This is understandable considering the bitter feuds between him and the McMahon family since leaving the WWE many years ago.

However I was not expecting to wake up this morning to the sad news that the words he spoke to us all on Monday Night were his last. I think the words he spoke are words of truth, and sums up why superstars perform and why we as fans will dedicate a life time watching those superstars perform in the ring night after night.

I’m sure their will be many articles about the Warriors life over the next few days that will cover his life in great detail. My intention today is just the opposite, I would just like to end with the words from the Warrior himself from Monday night and say thank you for the memories and thank you for making me believe in the Ultimate Warrior.

โ€˜No WWE talent becomes a legend on their own.

โ€˜Every manโ€™s heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe their final breath.

โ€˜And if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them believe deeper in something thatโ€™s larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized by the storytellers โ€“ by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honour him, and make the running the man did live forever.

โ€˜I am the Ultimate Warrior, you are the Ultimate Warrior fans and the spirit of the Ultimate Warrior will run forever.
